Winter Breeze

When Lisa first proposed the collaboration, I looked at the colors and thought of snowflakes and hot cocoa. Unfortunately, it's been way too many years since I sketched in high school, so the doodles I saw in my head didn't quite make it to paper! I can see I have a lot of practicing to do! My next thought was handmade paper snowflakes - the results of which you see here. I hand-cut each of the snowflakes and then scanned and extracted them. I had forgotten how much fun it was!

Project 365 pages and a new preview action

I had finished my first page for Project 365 and then heard about a kit that was going to be introduced at Weeds and Wildflowers specifically for this sort of thing. After a few days of not-so-patiently waiting, it finally came out and I am LOVING it!! I'm actually keeping up to date with my pictures!

Mega-Doodle Inspired has converted one of her designer preview actions to work in PSE! Even if you aren't a designer, this can be very useful for those kits where a preview isn't included.

I have been so swamped with Christmas project and parties and such that I haven't had any time for designing. I did make a couple of papers for a calendar I made for Christmas gifts, so you will probably be seeing them later. Life is SLOWLY getting back to normal - or at least what passes for it! I've been working on Project 365 that's all over the place and here is my picture for today - as you can see, I have a lot to catch up on!

I did at least have a chance to play with some new styles by Bannerwoman and Mega-Doodle Inspired. You have to try these out!

Falling Leaves and some new products!

I have had so much fun the last couple of days! I got the opportunity to test some of Bannerwoman's new styles - just beautiful! There are two paper styles, seven felt styles and a cork style set.

I created a freebie to show you a couple of the ways the styles can be used - the leaves are made from the felt styles and the leaf border, tag and papers use the paper styles. I layered colors over the top to get the plain colored papers. There is a full alpha with upper- and lower-case letter, numbers and symbols. The alpha, square frame and brads use a picture I took last year of one of our leaf piles. Mega-Doodle Inspired's Mega-Alpha Cutter #2 made it a snap to create an alpha!

A Note from Courtney:

We all go through rough patches in our lives. And as we go through these hardships, we lean on each other and our faith to comfort us. Tragedy has recently befallen one of our own. Megan, the master behind the templates of Racketty Scrappety was, until recently pregnant with her third and fourth children. Nearly three weeks ago, 28 weeks pregnant, her water broke and had an emergency c-section to deliver her babies. Both of which were born without heartbeats. While the doctors were able to resuscitate one of her sons, the other, Baby Dex, didn't make it.

There were a number of complications, none of which caused any of the others. As Megan learned after the fact, her water breaking was the best thing that could have happened and was what allowed Baby Crew to be born fast enough to save his life. Crew, is currently in the NICU and riding the "roller coaster" that accompanies this. We, here at Plain Digital Wrapper along with a few other great designers have joined together to make this beautiful kit dedicated to Crew.

This kit comes with Layered PSD Files, .pat files, .psp and .pspimage files, Overlays AND PNG Files so that you can use them with just about ANY software! SO much fun to play with! Playful Alpha and a new Mega-Doodle Inspired product!

Mega-Doodle Inspired has a fun new action out to create transparent stickers! You have the option of flat, puffy or super-puffy - and the effect is adjustable so that you can tailor it to your element. There are actions for PS and PSE. You can see them HERE.

I had fun testing this one - I can tell I'm going to be using it a lot! For now, I've made a puffy sticker alpha to match the rest of the Playful collection. And yes, there are more pieces to this collection in the works. I've been quite busy settling into the homeschool routine, but it should start to even out now.

Playful Collection - Chalkboard

When I first got this last testing assignment from Mega-Doodle Inspired, I thought, "Oh, goody, football". Not that I couldn't test it anyway, but I have two young girls that are into princesses, not sports. Not even my husband is particularly into sports. Once I started playing with the brushes that she includes, I fell in love!!!!! There's a brush that makes it look like you are writing with chalk - especially on her chalkboard paper! Too much fun!

The Football Plays Assembly Kit and the Footbal Word Art & Brushes will be available exclusively at Commercial Create in a Huge Collaboration Grab Bag from 21 Sept - 05 Oct and then will be available separately in her stores after that.

So, to show you just how versatile this can be, my kit has absolutely nothing to do with football. I was inspired by some (old-2004!) pictures of my daughters playing with sidewalk chalk on the driveway and created papers and elements to match.

Included in this kit are two doodled chalk papers, seven "construction paper" solids, a doodled frame in three colors and word art in two colors. The color scheme is the same as the previous paper pack so these will coordinate.

Exciting News and a Freebie!

I'm an official product tester for Mega-Doodle Inspired! I've always loved her products and I'm especially thrilled because Brandy is one of the few that makes actions for PSE. Her latest product has just been released - Mega-Pattern Set 01. She has all the bases covered here - versions with pattern sets for PS, PSE and PSP and even a set of overlays if you can't use pattern sets. She also includes awesome tutorials for PS and PSE if you don't know how to work with pattern sets. You have to check these out!

I made a paper pack for you using some of the patterns in the set. As you can see, you can even layer the patterns to get more options. The color scheme is one I will be using frequently when I create paper and element sets, so you will eventually have a mega-kit!

Hi! I've been digi-scrapping since September of last year and I'm completely hooked! I have two daughters that I homeschool so I really like being able to sneak in a few minutes here and there.
